MOH and QOS over WAN

Can anyone provide some info on MOH over a WAN and how to configure QOS? We have a remote site with a relatively small pipe, and are trying to configure MOH for the far end but are getting choppy audio on the remote end.

Setup looks like: Phone-LAN-Router-WAN-Router-LAN-CCM/MOH server

MOH is not choppy locally, only over WAN.

Opinions on installing a MOH server locally at the remote end? Consideration there is that there could be as many as 40 remote sites eventually (6-8 months).

What Codec are you using for the MOH streams going across the WAN?

It looks like you're doing centralized CM deployment with location-based CAC. In this scenario, MOH is not supported over the WAN because the CM is unable to take the bandwidth used by MOH in the CAC calculation. The remote users will hear TOH (tone-on-hold) instead. Consult the CM 3.1 release notes for detailed info.
