MOH on Inter-cluster Trunk (gatekeeper controlled)

Hi,

I'm not sure whether i'm being stupid but i seem unable to get MOH working over a intercluster trunk.

I have a 4.1(3)sr1 2 Server cluster connected to a 4.1(2)sr1 cluster.

I can make calls between the cluster fine and place calls on hold. When i place the calls on hold i just hear the familiar beeps.I have set the correct Media resource list on the trunks both ends , and MOH works at both sites independently.

Only thing i haven't checked is the MTP Required check box.

Am i missing something obvious?

All help appreciated

Mark

One thing to check is what codec you use between the clusters, and what region (codec) is used for MOH, if your MOH is in g711 region and intercluster trunk is using g729, you will need a transcoder. Also, try resetting MOH server.

Thanks for the info but i'm not using regions, everything goes across as g711.

Given that MOH works locally do you still consider a reset MOH server to be of use?

thanks

No, reseting server will not help because its working fine locally so it should work intercluster as well.

I think you need to check the MRG and MRGL setting once again to be 100 % sure.

Just so i am clear, the only task to get this working should be giving the intercluster trunk a MRGL, there are no other tasks?
