Moving AD

This is a unified Unity 3.1.4 using the Unity connector to Exchange 2000. The customer had the Global catalog function, Infrastructure and RID, Domain Naming Master, and Domain Controller moved to a different

server. Now they cannot add users and Unity stops answering calls about once a day with an error message in the error log that reads 'LDAP was not

found to be running on the Exchange Server'. Are my only two options to have the customer move all of the functions back to the original server or uninstall and re-install Unity? Thanks in advance.

Re: Moving AD

Hi Kevin,

Make sure to change the following key:

HKLM\Software\Active voice\Directory Connectors\DirSynchGlobal

Catalog\1.00\Directory\

The key name is "DefaultGlobalCatalogServer" and it expect the full name (i.e. "servername.domain.dom").

So put the name of the new server in her.

kurt

After changing this setting you will need to restart.

Re: Moving AD

There are a couple more registry keys you'll need to make sure are pointing to the new server(s). Check out this link to a post from yesterday:
