mulitple exchange 5.5 sites sharing 1 Unity server

We are sharing a Unity server at our home location and I am trying to setup users at a remote location that has an exchange site under the organization and connected with x400 connectors. I can currently only view users that are on my local exchange site.

Any ideas how to view users from a remote site or on how to send them voice mail? I am told this works with exchange 2000 but need to find a workaround for use with exchange 5.5 if possible.

A single Unity server cannot service subscribers across an Exchange site. Multiple servers within the site are fine, but once you have a site boundary you need two Unity servers. This has to do with limitations of the MAPI implementation by Microsoft (i.e. logging into mailboxes across a site is not accounted for).

You need at least one Unity server per Exchange site.
