Multilink QoS

I have a HQ site with 2 T1s bundled as a multilink to MPLS cloud, branch locations have single T1 to the MPLS. Users expereince QoS issues, I do not have fragmentation configured on the multilink interface, is it absolutely necessary to enabled fragmentation on multilink interface?

Re: Multilink QoS

Hi Chris

No - fragmentation is only required on slow links to work around serialization delay... People often put multilink-PPP on single lines if they're slow to enable multilink fragmentation...

However since yours are full speed T1s (therefore faster than the 768k threshold under which fragmentation is needed) you don't need fragmentation.

Standard priority queueing should be OK - I guess check that your provider has actually provisioned the queues and ensure you aren't oversubscribing the EF bandwidth you've purchased..

Hope this helps
