We have a client that has 2 sites running seperate Active Directories. One site has Unity - is it possible to allow the other site to use the Unity server (UM) , i.e can we make local email servers part of 1 routing group but still part of seperate AD's. We can assume that the sites are 'well connected'.
Unity can only service Exchange 2000 servers which are in the same Active Directory forest. The domain the servers are in doesn't matter as long as they are within the same forest.
With Exchange 2000, routing groups have the same limitation. Servers must be within the same organization (there is one organization per forest) to become a member of a routing group. If the servers are in different forest then youre out of luck.
