multiple DS0 groups

I have a situation where I have a T1-CAS trunk wich each DS0 configured as a 2 way trunk. I would like to be able to set up the H.323 gateway such that 5 of the trunk will never be used for outgoing calls. Is it possible to do this by creating multiple DS0 groups and only pointing outgoing dial peers to the second group?

Yes that will work. You will need to include all of the channels you want to use or else the router wont allocate a DSP for them. Build 2 ds0-groups and you will get 2 voice-ports. Then have only a dial-peer for outgoing with a destination pattern. You may want to build a dial-peer for the incoming calls without a destinatinon pattern incase you want to add features like DID to thos voice channels.
