Music on Hold and Local Gateways

Hello,

I am looking at deploying a multi-site centralized Call Processing CallManager solution. I have a question about Music On Hold (MoH). Is it possible to have the phones at the remote site use a file stored on the local gateway for the MoH instead of using a MoH at the central site? I would like to avoid using this bandwidth if possible.

Could you confirm whether this will work with Cisco 1760. I am trying to use it on Cisco 1760 with recommended IOS and I cannot enter the command

ccm-manager music-on-hold

Hi,

It's possible but you need to purchase SRST (as well as memory and IOS upgrade if needed) for each remote site : pretty expensive !
