MWI Codes for stuck lights... anyway to do this remotely?
Interesting scenario today:
User complains that the MWI lamp is stuck on and there is no voicemail on this phone in Unity.
We checked Unity, no voicemail for that extension anywhere... nothing nada. What we figured out was probably a Unity Admin delete a subscriber that used to have this phone and the light was left "on" at the phone.
So as a CCM administrator.... is there a way to remotely reset the light? I know at the phone, you can dial the MWI off code.
We tried to unplug the phone, light came back on. We tried to reset the phone from CCM, light came back on. Only way to turn it off was to have someone dial that code at the phone.
Re: MWI Codes for stuck lights... anyway to do this remotely?
You could, but if the mailbox is not longer there, the IP phone is an "orphan" with a light stuck on. The only way to turn it off is to dial the MWI code **at** the phone, or what he suggested, created a second line on a softphone or another phone on your desk.
