I set up a school campus last week and imported the users. I changed their MWI from their extensions to X with the bulkeditor (I needed to change their extension on all of their VM numbers anyway). Their phone is not lighting up. If I go into the subscriber, click on messages, click on the box by the X extension and do nothing but save the user the light suddenly pops on. Any idea why the light doesn't work unless I do this? I do not want to go through all of my subscribers I set up to fix this? Should I stop/restart unity?

Can you dial the MWI on / off DN from a phone, and light the lamp on the Phone you are dialing from?
If NO: check the CM or PBX Link for correct MWI extension.
Are you using an extension beginning with a ' 9 ' and also using ' 9 ' to dial out?
if Yes: Change the extension. It'll drive you nuts b/c it will work intermitantly.

I restarted Unity and my problems all went away. The MWI's are all working now.
