MWI lit but no voice mail system

Hi all,

We run CallManager 4.1(3) and have a problem with one of the 7960s. The Message Waiting Light has come on, and a message is displayed saying the user has new mail. Our problem is that we do not have any voice mail package associated with CallManager. We turned off the MWI by changing the MWI policy settings in CCMuser, but the mail icon is still displayed next to the line on the phone display.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

We managed to resolve this issue. We created a Message Waiting Number under Voice Mail, which was set to turn the lamp off.

When dialled this turned the indicator off.
