Netmeeting using G.729 codec

I'm trying setup a netmeeting client at a remote site. I would like to use a LBR codec but can't seem to get it working with G.729. It works fine with G711 but there is not enough bandwidth. My PSTN gateway is a MGCP controlled PRI running on a 2600. Is this possible without a transcoder?

Re: Netmeeting using G.729 codec

Netmeeting does not support the g.729 codec.

While g.729 is an International Telecommunication Union (ITU) standard, it is not free. Several companies claim rights to the codec. I assume that Microsoft doesn't support g.729 because of the costs incurred with licensing the codec.
