Networking Unity 2.4.5 and 4.0.x

Company wants to slowly migrate mailboxes from 5.5 to Exch 2k server installed in different domain. The Exchange servers are not in the same organizaiton (or domain) so there's no SRS and no move mailbox functionality. They'll be exporting and importing (who knows why). That's when the migrated users UM would break.

Question is....could we install a new Unity 4.0 server and connect it to the Exch2k server. Leave Unity 2.4.5 connected to 5.5 and network the two so they can communicate (just for the migration)? Migration of mailboxes also means we move subscribers (delete , recreate) on the 4.0 server.

Anyone do anything similar to this? Any ideas?

Thanks,

Robert Thornton

You can use SMTP networking for this type of situation. No other options are available. Check out:
