I've posted Global Subscriber Manager (GSM) on the 3.x tools page on AnswerMonkey.net tonight.<br><br>Short story is this guy will let you administer large numbers of subscribers across multiple servers and/or dialing domains quickly and easily. It's also pretty cool for just a single server installation... you'll find it's much faster to get to subscribers using this tool that just the straight SA interface. It'll run on or off box, it has a snappy "node level" search function that retains its results in a special node, it uses SQL directly so it's fast, it's really pretty nifty. Check out the AnswerMonkey download page for more details and the usual screen shot stuff...<br><br>This is the first tool from the new Applicatons Team I'm runing so it'll be officially supported by the BU. It'll also be avaialble for download off CCO here in the next couple days if you prefer.<br><br>Enjoy.<br><br><br>Jeff Lindborg<br>Unity Product Architect/Answer Monkey<br>Cisco Systems<br>email@example.com<br><A HREF="http://www.AnswerMonkey.net" target="_new">http://www.AnswerMonkey.net</A> (new page for Unity support tools and scripts)
Re: * New Global Subscriber Manager Tool Available *
no, it relies on some new functionality the SA folks put into the 3.1 line that allows us to force the SA to open to a specific subscriber's profile page based on their directory ID (their unique identifier in the directory). This is how it can open web pages on remote Unity servers and get you to the right spot without remotely accessing those servers directly. The GSM needs to access only one Unity server's SQL database in the organization to offer connections to all subscribers in the entire organization using this method. This wasn't possible in 3.0(x).
