No ring indication on second line

It has been my experience in the past, on Call Manager, that when a call rolls from 1st line to 2nd, becuase the first line is off hook, the user gets a ring indications a beep, in their ear on the headset. I have Call Manaer 3.2.2CspB and there is no ring indication on the phone. Can anyone help?

Sounds like call-waiting isn't working. Make sure that you have CallWaiting enabled on the CallManager (Goto Service --> Service Parameters --> Select Server --> Choose Cisco CallManager service --> set CallWaitingEnable to TRUE). Also, make sure that individual phone directory numbers have CallWaiting field set to "Default" or "On".

Actually the customer doesn't want Call Waiting enabled. They have both lines on the phone shared. So when Phone A line 1 is off hook, the Call Forward Busy is set to go to line 2 on Phone A and B. Phone A should here a tone on the handset, and Phone B should ring. All that happens right now is Phone B rings.. No tone on Phone A at all.
