Config
=====
CCM version 3.1.(4)
VG200 with IOS 12.2(11)T with E1 card
IP Phones <=> E1 <=> VG200 <=> E1 <=> MD110 <=> E1 <=> PSTN
we followed the document : PBX Interop. with MD 110 (E1) (documented for an 2610 router)
Problem
=======
We do not have any ringback when calling an Ericsson Phone from an IP Phone.
We tried the different progress_ind settings, ...
After this, I configured the VG200 as an MGCP gateway, but with the same result : no ringback.
Strange thing : when we call an analog PSTN phone from an IP Phone through the Ericsson PABX, we do have ringback tone , allthough the PI is exact the same.
Please give your comments on this, if you experienced the same ...
Many Thanks
Dirk

Dirk: we run VG200 with NM-HDV to act as "tie" lines between our Ericsson MD110 ver 9.0 and Cisco. We go with the H323 setup and the following is a
dial-plan we use:
IP Phones <=> VG200 <=>T1 <=> MD110 <=> Ericsson Phone
dial-peer voice 1 voip
preference 1
destination-pattern [1-7]...
progress_ind setup enable 3
session target ipv4:nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn
dtmf-relay cisco-rtp h245-signal h245-alphanumeric
codec g711ulaw
ip precedence 5
Hope this helps. marc

You might check on your VG200 Gateway configuration. there is a parameter called: Setup non-ISDN Progress Indicator IE Enable. This paramter has a note at the bottom of the page that says: May be required to force ringback from some PBX's.
You might give that a try.

I tried that one , no success ...
Anyway, Thanks for the feedback !!!

Would you print the commands you have in the VG200 under the header MGCP.
