We are experimenting some noise problems with 827-4V gateways. There is no relation between the destination number, the time of the day, etc. The noise is always eared in the FXS side, not in the remote side, who ears clearly the 827-4V speaker. Somebody knows the origin of that noises?
Clay, thank you for your answer. We've tested with different IOS: 12.2(8)T4 IP/VOICE PLUS, 12.2(8)T5 IP/VOICE PLUS, 12.2(8)T5 IP/VOICE, and the noise appears in all of them. Most of the 827-4V have been working ok for weeks. Do you have information about a problem with DSP's? It's a firmware version problem?
Hmmm... that's pretty recent code, I don't know of anything specific offhand. Things like this can take some time and troubleshooting to track down, opening a TAC case to get this resolved would probably be best.
The 827s have the DSP code bundled with the IOS, so if it is a problem with the DSPware, an IOS upgrade is the only way to address it.
