Has anyone had experience integrating a Norstar key system to CCME? Any relevant experience with this integration would be greatly appreciated.

Norstar Key system seems to be a PBX system. I think CCM Express itself has the functionality of the Key Switch or a PBX. Then why go for any other PBX system. May be I am wrong here. The following document on the CCME has explaination that it can also be configured as a PBX system. Any ideas. ??

The easiest way to do it is to use FXS VIC card and connect to the Line side (for outbount calls) of the norstar and use FXO VIC card (for inbound calls) and connect to an ATA (analog terminal adaptor from Nortel, this converts the digital signal to analog signal produced by the extension side of the norstar). The rest of it is just dial-peers configured on the CCME.
Calling from the CCME
The CCME which sends a particular string of digits to the Norstar or
go off hook and hear the dial-tone from the Norstor extension side then you can start dialling.
Calling from the Norstar
The Norstar will need to be programmed to go off hook and play dial tone received from its line side which is connected to the CCME FXS port (you should hear dial tone), then you can start dialling digits.
Good luck.
