Looking at using an IP-IVR with a Nortel switch. The idea is
PSTN - Nortel -- 2E1 - gateway -- call manager -- ip-ivr
When calls come in to the IPIVR and are redirected to folks on the Nortel will this trombone? Will QSIG help?

QSIG might help

Hi, can someone please tell me what are some of the benefits of such a layout? Why would someone want to use IP IVR as opposed to IVR?

Until CallManager supports Q.sig AND Path Replacement, no. Q.sig support alone will not solve this issue. Cisco -------? When will path replacement be available?
P.S. Q.sig RTU will need to be equipped on the M-1.

QSIG + Path Replacement is roadmapped but it's not in CallManager 3.3. You'll need to talk to your account representative, who can find out the latest updates on this from the CallManager marketing folks.
Path Replacement would be able to handle this.
