Not able to see exchange users in Unity

I have a Unified Messaging Unity 3.1.4 system integrated with exchange 5.5. The system has been up and running for several months fine. Now we are trying to add some new users and have added the users to Exchange and everything works fine with Exchange but when I go to add the users to Unity I am not able to see the users to import them. The other thing noticed is some of the Users that were removed from Unity and exchange are showing up in the Import list when trying to add the new users to Unity.

Open Exchange in raw mode and make sure the "Allow Rich Text" object is set to 1. As for the deleted users still showing up in the import, are you sure the users have been deleted from Exchange? Unity's import utility won't see a user unless they've actually got a mail box.
