One Callmanager to handle two totally separate Unity/Ex2000 domain

I have a Unity design issue:

The customer already had a Callmanager and a Unity server with Exchange 2000, he wants to add additional Unity/Ex2000 for a totally separate department: different Active Directory and Domain, and the only one Callmanger to handle the two separate Unity server.

Does it work or not?

There is no Domain relationship between Unity and CallManager, so the CallManager servicing the two Unitys should be fine.
