Integrating a Avaya G3r PBX with a Cisco Call Manager 4.1 using CMM module on a 6500 as a MGCP IOS gateway registered with the CCM.A E1 PRI QSIG trunk has been setup between the PBX and the CMM.

Problem:

Calling on both ways happen and the Caller ID and Call informations gets passed over between the IP Phone and the PBX extension,however the speech path gets established only one way.

Which party does not hear the audio?

Voice from IP phone cannot be heard by the PBX extension.

Is one-way audio permanent?

Yes

If not, does it happen at the launch of the call?

NA

After a while? How long does it last?

Permanent.

Permanent.

The MGCP has been bound to the source interface.

Full IP rechability exists between the CMM and the Call Manager and the IP Phone.

Is the problem of "an occasional syllable seems to be dropped" happens on all calls or only intermittently?

Try this:

On all the gateways currently doing QoS remove the old QoS config and change it to:

class-map match-any voice

match ip rtp 16383 16383

policy-map wan-outbound (or whatever)

class voice

priority 504

class default

fair-queue
