Opening Greeting

We just set up a Unity 3.1(3) trial. When you call into the pilot number, Unity answers with the message " Sorry, opening greeting is busy or does not answer." It will continue to repeat this message until you hangup. The setup of the call handler appears to be correct. We havent made any modifications since the install.

Any ideas?

So you haven't setup any routing rules up stream? Is there an extension associated with the opening greeting?

Try activating the alternate greeting (which will always play), record a greeting for it and see if the behavior changes.

the next step would be to fire up the StatusMonitor.exe applications found in the Tools Depot or in the \commserver\techtools directory, monitoring all lines and seeing where the call is being routed and why when it comes into the system...

Go to the Call Handler...Greetings page. What is listed as the Source - System or Recording. If this is set to System, I believe you will get the message you are hearing. Change the Source to Recording and the handler should be reactivated.
