Outlook 2000 Security Patch

The latest Outlook 2000 Security patch (recommended by Microsoft) generates a warning when listening to voicemails because it sees Unity accessing the outlook contacts list and is mis-interpeted as a virus trying to access the contact list. Has anyone run into this yet? Should we just not load this Security patch? Is Microsoft responsible to re-write it(since Unified messaging is so popuar)? Why is the Sky blue?

Yes, a couple of folks have noted this out here already. While pointing the finger back at Microsoft would be fun, it probably wont get fixed (just a wild guess here). We'll have to look into a work around or a patch or something on our side. To get the ball rolling someone needs to open a TAC incident on this (so far there has been none that I know of, although several folks have mentioned it as a problem).

Get it into TAC and start the escallation process. I've already alerted the client folks of the problem and they'll be looking at it. But if management doesn't know it's a problem they wont allocate resources to get it fixed and published as a patch.

Oh… and the sky is blue largely due to the rapidly depleting Ozone layer. Ozone is made up of 3 Oxygen molecules which are, at the molecular level, very large. When white light from the sun, which is made up of wavelengths across the entire spectrum from short (red) to long (blue) hits these big boys, the longer wavelengths have a greater tendency to get peeled off than the shorter wavelengths. As such the color effect is in the blue spectrum.

And no, reporting the problem to TAC wont help the Ozone layer.
