I've been testing the "Dial from Outlook" feature for some time and have had a few problems with it. I'm using CM 3.1(1), Unity 2.4.135, TSP 3.1.(025) with 5 instances, Windows 2000 SP2, IE 5.5SP2, Viewmail 2,4,5,73, and Outlook XP. My 7940's App Load ID is P00303010100.
When I hang up a phone call at the IP phone (7960)after dialing from Outlook, I receive a message saying "An internal error occurred in the automatic phone dialer. Close the Dial Phone dialog box, and then open it again."
When I click "End Call" button from the "New Call" Dialog box after I'm done with a call that I initiated from the Outlook dialer I receive a message stating "The telephony device driver is unable to respond to your request at this time."
I've also had the dialer disconnect me after about 10 minutes of discussion when I initiate the call from the dialer. No error message was given, I was simply disconnected.
Are there any documents I can use for troubleshooting this feature? I've had these problems while using Outlook 2000 also.
Since there has been no response to your post, it appears to be either too complex or too rare an issue for other forum members to assist you. If you don't get a suitable response to your post, you may wish to review our resources at the online Technical Assistance Center (http://www.cisco.com/tac) or speak with a TAC engineer. Although of little comfort, I've had exactly the same problem with the 'internal error message' when ending a call and as yet have not found a solution. I suspect though that it relates to the poor way outlook handles anything telephony as using phone dialer (the win2k version is sooooo good) I've not had the same problem.
Thanks for the note but unfortunately I'm already using the Win2K/Sp2 with Outlook XP. I haven't tried WinXP yet but I don't expect it to be any better. I've thus far had little success with XP on practically anything.

The short answer is that you don't.... That isn't entirely true while at
the same time it kind of is, but for the most part you don't configure
the softkeys. You enable or disable them via TCL. Here is the long
