Outside caller do not hear transfer rings.

When a person calls in from the outside and dials a person’s extension the caller hears is dead air. They do not hear the person’s phone ringing. Some callers hang up and think they have been disconnected.

I have it set to transfer the call back to Call Manager.

Re: Outside caller do not hear transfer rings.

This was a known issue with CallManager and certain versions of IOS. It doesn't have anything to do with Unity, the same thing should happen if an outside caller is transferred by an IP phone. Please provide the version number of CallManager and the GW, and I'll see if I can get one of the CM TAC specialists to chime in.

This problem is fixed in CM 3.0(10) AND IOS 12.2(3). You need to upgrade your CM and your gateway.

Re: Outside caller do not hear transfer rings.

I know everybody calls this a bug but really it is not. The H.323 spec does not provision for ring back after the call is connected. It was changed as a 'feature enhancement' not a bug.

Anyway, check out this URL too:
