Passing caller info with non-Cisco VoIP devices

Doese the Cisco Call Manager based IP telephony system support passing of caller information such as calling numnber and user name etc with another Non-Cisco VoIP system ?

it depends on what kind of signalling you are trying to use...

You would probably need to use QSIG between two systems or some SIP based trunking that can carry this information between the two systems. YOu have to find a common protocol betweent the two VOIP systems and try it out. Usually between two PBX's, it is QSIG. The 23/24 channel can carry information about the call such as caller ID or MWI signals.

I would think you would be able to accomplish this also with a H323 or MGCP gateway... but you would need to dig into this one.

It depends on the non-Cisco VOIP System. As tcalinins said; you may use QSIG. You can also use SIP or H323; for example if you are connecting your callmanager to Asterisk: Check this link:
