Have a situation in Unity 2.4.6(161), Unified Messaging, Windows NT4 PDC, talking to legacy Toshiba PBX. Some users, when playing VM via phone, are presented with total messages (VM + email). Others, although configured identically - including COS, are presented with just VM total messages. Checked individual settings and all users are configured the same with respect to 'Conversations/Retrieving Messages'. TTS is not enabled in COS. Any suggestions?

return receipts can be counted as voicemails, which might confuse some folks.
However, the totals you get depend on your conversation settings, make sure you double check the subscriber page because you'll probably find a difference in the checkboxes under message retrieval.

Can you list out the retrieval options as they appear on the subscribers' pages?

Both are set to 'Announce total number of new voice messages' and 'Announce total number of saved messages'. One user hears the correct number of messages (VM only), but the other user hears VM messages plus email messages. No TTS licensing is configured. What else might cause Unity to count email in the 'Announce total number of saved messages'?
