point to point voice issue

Dear all,

i'm new to voice pls help me.

i have connected 2 offices using a p-t-p 128kbps leased line.routers are 2801.i have checked the connectivity

its fine.i'm using wic-1T for this connectivity on both sides. for voice purpose i have installed VIC2-FXS card.

my IOS on both sides are "c2801-ipvoice-mz.124-6.T2.bin".

and i have installed PVDM2-8 is installed on both routers.

my plan is to put 2 phones at each office.my phone is Ericsson phone model no is 4186 something its not an ip phone.so can i connect directly to fxs port.how can i configure this scenario.

i have a configuration with me can anybody verify this and give me guide lines.any reply will be appreciated with good rating.

Is your routers configured with VOIP dial-peer?.

you need to configure VOIP peers to each location. therefore for location A to reach B

configure on A -

dial-peer voice X VOIP

destination-pattern (Extension pattern of analog phone at B

session target: ip address of Router B

dtmf-relay h245-alpha

do the same from B to A, obviously changing the destination-pattern and session target to suite.

finally, on the FXS port itself where u connect your analog phone, you can configure the extension of the associated phone by performing the following

enter the associated voice-port (e.g) if phone 1 is connected to voice-port 1/1/0 and you want phone 1 to have extension 333 then

voice-port 1/1/0

(voice-port)# station-id number 333

then save.
