I'd like to do an informal poll. Do you think it would be helpful to have an internal, software-configurable crossover function in the multiflex trunk modules, particularly for connections to PBXs?
Thanks,
John

I don't think so it would be helpfull to go for an internal one.

I can't tell if you agree with me or disagree with me. :-)
I'm hoping that Cisco implements an internal crossover function. It would come much too late to help us but I still think it would be useful.
In our case, we have a bunch of Nortel PBXs that we're going to front-end with Cisco gateways. We already have these PBXs connected to a voice-only T1. If the router had an internal crossover function, we could simply unplug the cable from the T1 NIU and move it over to the router. Instead, we have to replace the cable with a crossover cable or buy crossover adapters of some sort.
I've seen that some of Cisco's competitors have this already.
