pots into AS5300 voip to another dev then pots out?

I was wondering if anyone has done something similar to the following:

I want all inbound calls to go to the AS5300 running our IVR then do a voip call to another device which then does a outbound pots call to the destination.

We currently have this working were the AS5300 is in place of DEV? but I want to replace AS5300 that just does simple in voip out pots with a cheaper DEV?

Any suggestions?

Depending on the POTS service that you have, Analog Lines or T1 terminating you can use a range of products. You can use Cisco 26xx/36xx Series Routers which have T1 and analog capabilities in them, or you could go as low as 175x/176x or ATA devices which can terminate analog phone lines. It depends on what you are terminating the call to and what your requirements are. It also depends on the denisity of the calls, e.g how many calls you want to make.
