pound key doesn't work within internal call

We have a customer who created couple extensions , for example, 34 and 3498. Calling user gets a reorder (fastbusy tone) when they press 34 and # tring to reach 34 immediately . This was working before. I couldn't find whether they have changed something in CCM. Does anybody have idea what can cause #key doesn't work . Thanks.

What is the reason for the two digit extension. Standards are 4 or 5 digit extensions. If you use 34 then you use all numbers starting with 34xxx. This is not a problem on external calls, but should be avoided on internal numbering plan. Talk to a pbx guy if you know one and he will explain.
