PRI and Caller ID, Any Configuration needed ??

Hi,

My Telco switch is primary-ni, and I am connecting to the telco via T1 PRI. Just a basic, question, in this scenerio I believe to receive Caller-ID or ANI from the Telco, I donot have to configure anything on the router, it should be enabled by default, right? If I am wrong, what commands do I need to use to enable receiving Caller-ID or ANI from the Telco. The Telco is providing me the ANI service.

Port 3/3 is conencted to Telco and port 3/1 is connected to a PBX. I need to pass the ANI coming from telco to the PBX. How do I do this??

Configuration below:-

controller T1 3/1

framing esf

linecode b8zs

cablelength short 133

pri-group timeslots 1-24

Re: PRI and Caller ID, Any Configuration needed ??

Exactly, nothing needs to be done on a router to receive Caller ID and DNIS information when the call comes in to the router. It is the job of telco switch. You need to talk to telco for that if isdn SETUP message dosen't include that.

Thanks for your reply!

So, if I need to pass the ANI information coming from Telco on one T1 PRI to another T1 PRI going to PBX, is there anything that needs to be configured to enable this on the router.
