PRI - sending digits in block?

I have a problem with sending digits between alcatel 4400 and 3660 E1 voice interface.

i.e. number 5551234

Alcatel has configureg ARS - if number starts from 555 send it to router

If Alcatel sends digits to router in order:

-555

-1

-2

-3

-4

I do not see "sending complete" msg in ISDN debug. Router connect call, all works fine. The only one problem is, when user dial 555 hears dial tone from the rouer.

I tried to send whole number in one block:

-5551234

in this situation on the router ISDN debug I see that the number has been sent in one block, after number there is "sending complete", but the router does not try to setup the connection.

is there any way to fix that?

Re: PRI - sending digits in block?

try adding this command "direct-inward-dial" to your dial peers. by default a pri circuit is not assumed to be direct inward dial that is why you getting the second dial tone.

Re: PRI - sending digits in block?

On one of the POTS dial peers add the statement

direct-inward-dial

that will fix the problem.
