PRI to Nortel Option 81c

Trying to get a PRI running between a DT-24+ that we had lying around and a Nortel Option 81c. We have been able to get the PRI up and running but the admins of the PBX are unable to configure this PRI as a TIE line. They are only able to configure it as a DID truck. Because of this, the PBX strips all but the last four digits of the called number. Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with Nortel equipment.

Anyone have a suggestion or an explaination as to why we can't configure a tie line.

Re: PRI to Nortel Option 81c

Here's a little more info.

Right now we have it set to DMS100 and the PRI does come up and ports are available, however the Oprion 81c is now rejecting calls.

Any suggestions?

Re: PRI to Nortel Option 81c

To get the Meridian to be able to switch calls with more than 4 digits, you'll need to configure it as protocol S100 instead of D100, and make it the Network side. Configure the gateway as DMS100 user-side.
