Problem calling from CME to CCM

thack

Hi,

I have a few sites running CME 4.0 and a couple of sites with CCM4.1. I would like to be able to call between CME and CCM. Calling from the CCM's to the CME's using an ICT works fine, but cannot call the other way. CME's can talk to each other though.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Tony

Can you post your CME config?

Couple of things to make sure:

voip dial-peers are pointing to the correct IP address

The ICT trunk has CSS applied with access to phone's partition.

Chris

Hi,

The dial-peer is pointing the to Pub,( have tried the sub but same problem).

The ICT has a CSS in which all partitions reside. Important parts of the config below:-

You need this configured

h323-gateway voip bind srcaddr x.x.x.x

Just like Junfeng said,

If your ICT trunk has 1.1.1.1 as the ip address configured, go under the specific interface in CME router with the same ip address and give the h323 bind command.

Guys,

It is already configured on the interface.

interface GigabitEthernet0/0.1

description DATA VLAN

encapsulation dot1Q 197

ip address 10.1.97.253 255.255.255.0

arp timeout 300

!

interface GigabitEthernet0/0.2

description VOICE VLAN

encapsulation dot1Q 897

ip address 10.8.97.253 255.255.255.0

arp timeout 300

h323-gateway voip bind srcaddr 10.8.97.253

Thanks

Tony

You are missing this command under Gi0/0.2

h323-gateway voip interface

Also, you are forcing the codec to G.711 in the dial-peer, how is the trunk configured in CCM, what is the region referenced by the device pool configured to use between other regions? If it is G.729 the call will fail, unless you have a MRGL with transcoder applied to the Trunk (not device pool).

Your best option is to create voice codec class with codec preferences and apply to dial-peer.

do you have the correct outbound dialPeers for calls from the CME to the CCMs?

please paste your config, minus any sensative IP addys, and we can better help you.

In the ICT configuration, do you have MTP Required Checked? If yes, can you uncheck that and reset the ICT and see if that helps.

Also how about the Enable Inbound Faststart check box?

Regards,

Anup

yep, tried both them but no change.

I have run some traces, i can see the CME router matching the correct dial-peer, but the call does not reach the CCM's. From the CME router i can ping the CCM;s and the CCM registered Ip Phones. From the CCM I can ping the CME registered phones.

thanks

Tony

Have you tried nixing the ICT and making the connection an h.323 gateway instead?

Also you might try pointing to one of the subs just to see if it works. mtp and/or media resources might be screwed up.

Also try "incoming called-number " and see if that matches better.

****TRIED THAT ALREADY****
