problem receiving disconnect signal on 6608

I have a couple of E1 ports on 6608 E1 connected to PSTN, but when the external caller hang up their phone, my IP Phone does not disconnect immediately, I can hear the busy out tone for about 30 secs. But if I hang up the IP Phone, the external caller take about 3 secs to disconnect.

Question 1: does this mean that the local Telco did not send a disconnect signal to 6608 when it is the external caller who hang up the call first ?

Question 2: is there a way on the CallManager to reduce the 30 secs to a shorter period of time ?

There is one paremeter to control the duration of hook flash.

It is under "service >> service parameters >> [CCM server] >> Cisco CallManager". Then, look for

Flash Hook Duration (msec)

In CCM, there are 4 service parameters under Timers

1. Call Restart Timer

2. Offhook validation Timer

3. Onhook validation Timer (default 250ms)

4. hookflash Timer. (default 1000ms).

So, everything between 250ms and 1000ms will be conside as a Hookflash transfer. Greater than 1000ms

will be considered as actual Onhook.

Check for the CCM version is not lesser than 3.2.3 and Cat OS to be not lesser than 6.3(7)

Hi Chang,

I'm having exactly the same problem. Did you end up to have the problem fixed ?

Call Manager is 3.3.2c

Switch with 6608 is 7.3.1 software
