Problems with a WS-X6608

Hi, I've implemented an IP Telephony network with a WS-X6608-E1 on a Catalyst 6500 as PSTN Gateway.

Randomly the card reset and all active calls are dropped. What can I check?

What version of the CatOS are you running on the 6500? Also, it's a good idea to register all the ports on the E1 blade to CallManager, even if nothing is connected to them. If you like, you can register them as conference bridges or transcoders if you don't want to register them as E1 gateways.

Hi, I've installed the CatOS version 5.5(5) on the Catalyst.

I've also tried to register other ports as Transcoder and conference bridge but another problem is occurred, thus I've disabled the 7 ports.

Disabling them isn't always good enough, you need to get the rest of the ports registered to CallManager.

I had this same problem with the WS-X6608-E1/T1 card. To fix this problem I put the ports of the card in their own VLAN seperate from everything else (data / Call Manager) and set up a VLAN interface on the MSFC. I did this about a month and a half a go and have had no problems since.
