We are working with 7940 phones. The first line is the paralegal's extension and the second line is a shared line appearance for their boss. This is because she needs to know when he is on the phone or not. Under the paralegal's missed calls directory she is getting both her boss's and her missed calls. From my understanding this is sort of how it works out of the box as the shared line appearance is really his line on another phone. Is there anyway to prevent the boss's missed calls from showing up on her phone and retain her ability to know when he is on the phone?
I think that if you have a shared line, it will show missed calls and such. Since CCM just sees 1 line (regaurdless of how many phones there are configured) you will not be able to change this. i would recommend setting the paralegal up with the Webattendant, they will be able to see if the boss is on the phone through that.
