Pulling DNIS from Enterprise Data into variable

Anyone have documentation on pulling the DNIS field out of Enterprise Data and stuffing it into a variable? The documentation that I have found is pretty vague and have not been successful at this point.

Do I need to select the resource and then pull the enterprise data before connecting it to the agent?

I am hoping to be able to route the call to the right resource group based on that variable, so I hope I can pull it before selecting the resource. I have tried the Get Call Contact Info step, but it never returns the proper DNIS value, instead, it returns the value of my CTI port extension.

Hi,

Get Call Contact Info step is used to retrieve call specific information and to store these values in specified variables.

"Original Called Number" property of Get Call Contact Info step provides the number called from the perspective of the called party.
