QoS config

we provide voice over ip service around the world. But the delay is a little high than normal, we want to use the rtp compression and rsvp to short the delay. we use MCI as the backbone carrier. Now our confusion is that if we only config our network and our business peer network to support the rtp and rsvp ,is it enough

Re: QoS config

Remember that QoS is an end-to-end thing. If the problem is on your side it might help, but if the problem is elsewhere then QoS really does no good. You could try it, but I would talk to MCI to see what they are doing about it.

Re: QoS config

Hello Ding,

Have you investigated Service Level Agreements guaranteeing no more than a certain amount of delay. Several clients have been using SLA’s for VoIP with great success.

Regards,

Bob
