Can you clarify how you are connecting to the Avaya PBX? Are you wanting to use H.323 directly to the Avaya IP trunks or are using PRI with a QSIG channel from the router?
Regarding IP trunks on the Avaya, you need to configure the trunk group to use the same connection for both voice and signaling. When we do this we have seen two problems. First, there is no name/number information display one way until the call is connected. The other problem is trunk tear down when the IP trunk is over-subscribed. We have not tried to configure a QSIG channel associated to an IP trunk, but would be interested if others have.
