We are evaluating our branch routers to see whether they are fit for SRST. There are couple of questions:
- If the IP phone pool exceeds the recommended limit on a particular router, is there any way to restrict SRST service to those critical phones only? it seems to me that all phones will try to register to its default gateway during ccm failure and i don't find any way to control it
- Can CM leverage local MOH service in the router (available in SRST 2.0) so that the music stream is localized ?
As of the 3.1(3a) release of callmanager you have the option of configuring which phones should use srst. It is at the bottom of device configuration by phone. If you are going to go to 3.1(3a) I also suggest loading the spc for that and using the 108 load on your phones instead of the default 107 with 3.1(3a).
As for question 2 I don't think so. Maybe someone else can chime in with a definite.
