I have been asked to configure an always hot ring down line on my VoIP solution using CM 3.3.3. Is this nothing more than a speed dial button that someone would press to dial the other end automatically? Or is there something else I should be looking at?
You could configure PLAR on your CM. With this implemented, a user would pick up a handset and then a preconfigured destination number would be called automatically, without any digits needing to be entered. Not sure if this is what you are looking for?
If you want a solution for a phone(s) that would be configured with an existing DN, then you could try using speed dials or translation patterns instead.
