"LLQ" and "LLQ for FR"

Need clarification.

Queuing strategy becomes one of the most important parts in QoS implementations.

Correct me please if I am wrong:

“LLQ” – support only VoIP on serial links and ATM

“LLQ for FR” supports VoIP and VoFR on Frame Relay Networks.

As I understand “LLQ for FR” will provide Priority Queuing for Voice and WFQ for the rest of the data flows.

So the formulas are the following:

“LLQ” = PQ + CBWFQ

“LLQ for FR” = PQ + WFQ

What if I need to deploy “LLQ for FR” and in addition create classes for Data traffic, allocate bandwidth for that data classes, in other words CBWFQ instead of WFQ?

Please help.

Regards,

Vakhtang.

LLQ is the same on frame-relay networks. It uses a priority queue and CBWFQ as well. There should be no difference with the exception of where you place the service-policy statement.

Thank you for your help.

I was unsure about CBWFQ for LLQ for FR.
