The phone firmware doesn't support it currently according to the cases we've opened on it.
I don't know that there are any plans for it to do so either.
The CallManager itself and the Gateways support it though because we have third party dialers inserting the comma (,) character as a pause agent just fine - i think the limitation is in the CP-79XX's themselves.
