"Simple" VoIP design 2811 4fxo CCM4.1

I have a 2811 with 4fxo, only 1 in use. I've installed and configured CCM4.1 I cannot seem to get the 2811 to register with the Call Manager. When I issue a show ccm I get the following response.

MGCP Domain Name: csg2811bgw2

Priority Status Host

First Backup None

Second Backup None

Current active Call Manager: None

Last MGCP traffic time: 15:31:39 PCTime Jan 11 2006 (elapsed time: 00:

Last switchback time: None

Switchback mode: Graceful

MGCP Fallback mode: Not Selected

Last MGCP Fallback start time: None

Last MGCP Fallback end time: None

MGCP Download Tones: Disabled

Backhaul/Redundant link is down

Configuration Error History:

I know it's pilot error but I've read everything I can find to figure out what I've done wrong. Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Daniel

I would suspect your configs. You have a domain name configured as well. So under CCM config pages for this MGCP gateway the name should match format. Post your configs so that we can troubleshoot better. Also see if you can get a screenshot of the CCM gateway configuration page.

Ok here is a screenshot and the 2811 config.

Re: "Simple" VoIP design 2811 4fxo CCM4.1

One thing straight off my head, I see your service command should call the application as "mgcpapp". You are missing the "p" in your configs.

Are you ale to ping from Callmanager to router and vice versa ?

See if the above fix helps!

Ok I fix the missing 'p' and yes the router and the CCM server can ping each other. Still status shows down.

Re: "Simple" VoIP design 2811 4fxo CCM4.1

Daniel,

I would also do a "no mgcp" , wait a few seconds - when you will get a message saying MGCP APP teardown complete and then do a mgcp again. This basically disables and enables the MGCP process in the router.

See if that helps!

Also have you ensured that you have specified the right modules in the right slot in callmanager gateway configuration page ?

Ok did the "no mgcp" still no dice. Also, if you refer to the screen shot I sent earlier and here is the "show voice ports summary" you'll see that the ports are assigned correctly.

csg2811bgw2#show voice port summary

Re: "Simple" VoIP design 2811 4fxo CCM4.1

I've verified everything I can have read and even wiped out the router and server to start over again. Obviously I'm doing something wrong. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Daniel

Do you have an active phone line plugged into 0/3/0 (FXO) ? Since we made a few changes earlier, can you update a sh run, sh ccm-manager, ping output to callmanager, as well as screenshot of gateway config page as well endpoint ?
