Rascal Server

I am trying to setup desktop agents, and get the folloing error, when they try to logon:

Unable to log into the RASCAL server. Call recording and agent statisticis will be unavailable.

After that I get agent can not log in.

Any ideas, IP phone agents work fine.

Can you check if the following services are running in Apps Server

1. "Cisco Desktop RASCAL Server"

2. "Cisco Desktop VOIP Monitor Server"

Neither are running or even in the services screen.

I am running IPCC Express 3.1(2)

Hi,

The message you are seeing is becasue the RASCAL service is not installed. The CAD will always

attempt to connect to the RASCAL service upon startup.It looked to me that the option ICD Recording/Statistics Server is not chosen during the installation. You need to re-install CRS and select the ICD Recording/Statistics Server option during the installation.

If problem still persists after re-install with Recording option, please open a TAC case to pursue.
