Are you on CM 3.2 or greater or 3.3 or greater? This makes a huge difference in the upgrade process.

Either way, I would first purchase spare drives for each 7835. Power down the servers, remove the hard drive from slot 1, label that hard drive, and put in the new hard drive. Let those drives mirror. This way you can roll back to your old conifuguration instantly if needed.

If you are on CM 3.2 or less:

1. Upgrade to CM 3.3

2. After that you can upgrade to 4.1 and follow the link below:
