Receiving Falesafe System Greeting on Main Greeting Associated to a Specifi

I am running Untiy 4.0(2) CCM 3.3(3) have primary extension hitting AC Users and then to VM using a unique ext. The ext. is assigned to the Main Greeting Call Handler. When calling the main number and it doesn't get answered, a Failsafe System Meaasge is received.

first, always check the application event log for error messages when you get the failsafe greeting like that - there should be at least one error in there indicating what problem the conversation ran into.

By far and away the most common cause for such problems is if the message recipient setting for the call handler in question (the opening greeting in this case) is not set to a valid subscriber. One cause for this is if the subscriber or distribution list it was set for was removed from the system. Check the messages page for the call handler and make sure a valid subscriber or DL is selected. If that's not it, post what you see in the application event log error(s) - it'll give us a clue as to what else may be wrong.
